  • Mala kag matinlo nga papel parehas sang bondpaper, dyaryo, magazine, iban pa.
  • Karton nga ginabutangan sang pizza, habon, toothpaste, sapatos, iban pa.

MGA DAPAT HIMUON

  • Separahon ang puti nga papel sa may mga kolor o duag nga papel
  • Himoson ang karton
  • Ang papel, sa tion mabasa, ang mangin “compostable” ukon madasig nga mahimo nga abono.

PLASTIC

  • Sulodlan sang softdrinks, mineral water, langaw, patis, mantika, alcohol, shampoo, iban pa.
  • Gubaon nga pulungkuan sang monobloc, palanggana kag iban pa nga mga matig-a nga plastic

MGA DAPAT HIMUON

  • Hugasan ukon huluman ang mga plastik, botelya, kag buka nga kristal sa tubig nga ginresiklo halin sa linabhan/ginbunlawan agud matinlo ang basura kag indi pag-estaran sang tanga kag subay.
  • Pamalahon ang plastic antes ibutang sa bulutangan sang recyclables

SALSALON

  • Bulutangan nga himo sa aluminium kasubong sang mga lata sang softdrinks kag sardinas.
  • Yero, salsalon, stainless steel, copper, tingga, kag iban pa.

  • Hugasan ukon huluman ang mga plastik, botelya, kag buka nga kristal sa tubig nga ginresiklo halin sa linabhan/ginbunlawan agud matinlo ang basura kag indi pag-estaran sang tanga kag subay.

BOTELYA KAG TINIPIK NGA KRISTAL

  • Botelya sang beer, gin, soft drink, juice, langgaw, patis, catsup, peanut butter, kape iban pa.
  • Buka nga botelya kag mapino nga tinipik nga kristal o salamin.

1. Paglapta, paghaboy, pagtambak sang basura sa mga pampubliko nga lugar kasubong sang alagyan, sidewalks, kanal/estero, pang publiko nga kalingawan o dalanon.PHP 300 – PHP 1,000 o serbisyo sa komunidad halin 1-15 ka adlaw.
2. Pagsunog sang basuraPHP 1,000 o pagkabilanggo halin 15 ka adlaw tubtub 6 ka bulan
3. Pag-pakolekta o pagpasugot sa pagkolekta nga wala ginseparar ang basuraPHP 3,000 o pagkabilanggo halin 15 ka adlaw tubtub 6 ka bulan
4. Pagtambak / pag-tumpok sang basura sa lugar nga ginabahaanPHP 1,000 – PHP 3,000 o pagkabilanggo halin 15 ka adlaw tubtub anum ka bulan
5. Wala gapahibalo sa pagkuha sang recyclables apesar nga may yara sang nagapangolektaPHP 1,000 – PHP 3,000 o pagkabilanggo halin 15 ka adlaw tubtub 6 ka bulan
6. Pagsimpon sang ginseparar nga mga basuraPHP 500,000 hasta 10% sang imo net annual income

MAHIMO KA MAKASUHAN

  • Agud epektibo nga mapatuman ang kasuguan nga ini, ang tagsa ka pumuloyo mahimo magpasaka sang reklamo (civil, kriminal o administraltibo) batuk sa sino-o man nga tawo, bisan opisyal sang pangulohan nga magpamalibad sa pagsunod, magpati kag magtuman sa nakasaad sa Republlc Act 9003.

CORRECT WAY TO DISPOSE GARBAGE

KIND OF GARBAGE

TO RECYCLE

PAPER

  • Dry and clean paper like bondpaper, newspaper, magazine, and others.
  • Carton for pizza, soap, toothpaste, shoes, and others.

WHAT TO DO

  • Separate white paper from colored ones.
  • Store cartons
  • When paper gets wet, it will become compostable.

PLASTIC

  • Containers for soft drinks, mineral water, vinegar, soy sauce, cooking oil, alcohol, shampoo, and others.
  • Broken monobloc chairs, plates, and other hard plastics.

WHAT TO DO

  • Wash plastic, bottles, and broken glass with recycled water, such as from a washing machine, to make them clean and prevent insects from living in them.
  • Dry the plastic before placing it in the recycling bin.

METAL

  • Containers made from aluminum, such as cans for soft drinks and sardines.
  • Iron roof, metal sheet, stainless steel, copper, lead, and others.

WHAT TO DO

  • Wash plastic, bottles, and broken glass with recycled water, such as from a washing machine, to make them clean and prevent insects from living in them.
  • Store metal sheets to minimize space usage.

BOTTLE AND BROKEN GLASS

  • Bottles of beer, gin, soft drinks, juice, vinegar, soy sauce, catsup. peanut butter, coffee, and others.
  • Broken glass and fine shards of glass or mirror.

WHAT TO DO

  • Wash plastic, bottles, and broken glass with recycled water, such as from a washing machine, to make them clean and prevent insects from living in them.
  • Put bottles and broken glass in a sturdy container.

DECOMPOSABLE MATERIALS

KITCHEN GARBAGE

  • Leftovers, skin from fruits and vegetables, and others.
  • Shells from crabs, small crabs, mussels, oysters, and others.
  • Eggshells, bones, gills, and fish intestines.
  • Make them into compost or bury them in the yard or garden.
  • If to be collected by a garbage service, put the decomposable items in a plastic bag and tie it securely.
  • Strain and remove the water.
  • Put leftovers in a resealable container, like ice cream containers, instead of in a plastic bag.

GARBAGE IN THE GARDEN

  • Fallen leaves, branches, and chopped wood.
  • Picked or toppled wood or flower pot.
  • Animal waste.

DO NOT INCLUDE PLASTIC OR PAPER BAGS

PROHIBITEDPENALTY
1. Scattering, throwing, and piling garbage in public places such as streets, sidewalks, canals, public parks, and public highways.PHP 300 – PHP 1,000 or community service from 1 to 15 days.
2. Burning of garbagePHP 1,000 or imprisonment for 15 days up to 6 months.
3. Collecting or agreeing to collect garbage without segregating.PHP 3,000 or imprisonment for 15 days up to 6 months.
4. Piling garbage in commonly flooded areas.PHP 1,000 – PHP 3,000 or imprisonment for 15 days up to 6 months.
5. Not informing about collecting recyclables despite existing official collectors.PHP 1,000 – PHP 3,000 or imprisonment for 15 days up to 6 months.
6. Mixing segregated garbage. PHP 500,000 up to 10% of the net annual income.

YOU CAN BE FILED A CASE

  • To make this effective, everyone can file a complaint (civil, criminal, or administrative) against anyone, even a public official, who refuses to obey, follow, and abide by the provisions of Republic Act 9003.
  • Send a letter containing the name of the complainant, date, time, location of the incident, details of the committed violation, evidence, and images to:

IMPORTANT REMINDER: VIOLATION OF REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9003 IS A CRIME.

The case may be reported or filed in court. If the court issues a WARRANT OF ARREST, this is then considered a CRIMINAL ACT. If the case has reached the National Bureau of Investigation or NBI, this is then a basis to nullify one’s NBI clearance that one needs to travel abroad, and to lose a job.
