HANDA KA BALA?
ANTES SANG HITABO
- Maghanda para sa bagyo, magtipon sang pagkaon kag matinlo nga tubig ilimnon. Dapat may de-baterya nga mga suga. Maghanda sang radyo para masundan ang mga hitabo.
- Magpamati sa radyo kag TV para sa balita sa panahon.
- Usisaon ang mga bahin sang balay nga kinahanglan kay-uhon ukon bantingan agud makasarang sa mabaskog nga hangin.
- Bukuton ang mga sapat agud makaluwas sa bagyo.
- Antes mag-abot ang bagyo, anihon gilayon ang humay ukon iban pa nga kararuton nga puede na ahihon, kon nagapuyo sa lugar nga pirme ginabaha, malapit sa bukid, suba, ukon baybayon, dapat may “Survival Kit” nga nahanda na gilayon kon mag-abot ang bagyo.
- Ang magagmay nga mga baroto sa pagpangisda, dapat naka-angkla sa malig-on nga lugar.
SAMTANG NAGAKATABO
- Bantayan ang sitwasyon sang bagyo sa radyo ukon TV.
- Magpahimuyong sa sulod balay luwas kon hambalan nga magbakwit sa pinakamalapit nga evacuation center.
- Magpabukal sang tubig para sa ilimnon.
- Siguraduhon nga malayo sa butang nga mga “flammable” ukon madasig nga dakpon sang kalayo ang mga kandila ukon lampara.
- Indi gid maglakat ukon magpasayang-sayang sa tubig baha.
- Kon kinahanglan gid nga magbakwit, dapat kalmado lang kag maglakat agud mangin hilway sa katalagman.
PAGKATAPOS SANG HITABO
- Magpauli lang sa balay kon ang lokal nga pamahalaan magpahibalo nga hilway na ang lugar sa katalagman.
- Magpalayo sa mga linya sang kuryente.
- Kon magsulod sa balay, usisaon gid kon may mga halog nga linya sang kuryente kag iban pa nga mga kahalitan.
- Dapat mag-andam sa mga dalitan nga mga sapat pareho sang man-og, talimbabaga, kag iban pa.
- Ihaboy kag i-ula ang mga tubig suludlan nga may tubig nga mahimo balayan sang mga lamok.

Indi pagkalipati nga magdala sang “survival kit” kag bag nga nagaunod sang mga kinahanglanon ninyo kon kamo mag-evacuate.
Pirmi magpamati sa mga pangandam kag patimaan sa mga palaabuton nga bagyo halin sa lokal nga mga katapo sang gobyerno.

TYPHOON DISASTER PREPARATION
ARE YOU READY?
BEFORE
- Prepare for a typhoon, store food and clean potable water. Make sure that you have emergency battery operated lights and a transistor radio ready and handy.
- Monitor TV and radio stations for weather updates.
- Check your house for structure that need retrofitting or repair and strengthen it when necessary to withstand the strong winds.
- Herd domesticated animals to safe grounds. If you have agricultural crops that can already be harvested, harvest them before the typhoon strikes.
- If you live in an area that is frequently flooded, near mountains, near riverbanks or near the sea, you must have your lifeline kit ready for grab should an evacuation be required.
- Small fishing boats or vessels should be well-anchored in/to safer areas.
DURING
- Monitor the news and weather forecast on radio and TV to get the latest information.
- Stay indoors all the time unless you are told to evacuate to the nearest evacuation center.
- Boil tap water for drinking.
- Ensure that candles or lanterns are kept away from flammable objects or materials when using them.
- Never walk in or expose yourself unnecessarily to flood waters.
- If you need to evacuate, be calm and move in an orderly and safe manner.
AFTER
- Return home only when local authorities have declared that your area is safe.
- Stay away from power lines and electrical wires.
- Before entering your homes, look for loose power lines and other damage.
- Look out for wild animals especially snakes.
- Throw away or empty containers that have accumulated water as these are breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
