Rainwater Harvesting Facility

Strategy project ini sang Iloilo City DRRM Council. Ang pag gamit sang rainwater harvesting facility ga tuyo mag mitigate ang epekto sang climate change kag mag advocate sa hapos nga kuhaan sang mainom nga tubig para mabuligan pagamayon ang mga masakit halin sa tubig kag makahatag pangabuhian sa mga napilian nga mga barangay. May gravity-fed ultrafiltration nga teknolohiya ang amuni nga facility nga gina sala ang tubig ulan kag iban nga indi mapait nga tubig paagi sa gravity kag maghimo nga pwede mainom nga tubig. Pwede ini ka kolekta sang anom ka libo (6,000) ka litro kada adlaw kag makadugay ang pasilidad nga ni asta pulo ka tuig. (Iloilo City Government, 2024)

Ginatarget sng city government nga magbutang sini nga pasilidad kag mga water purifiers sa mga barangay nga may taas kaso sang acute gatroenterities kag kung diin mabudlay magkuha tubig. Ang mga barangay nga gin upod sa muni nga proyekto ay ang Lanit, Bito-on, Tabuc Suba, Navais, Hibao-an Sur, Hinactacan, Ingore, kag Monica-Blumentritt. (Iloilo City Government, 2024; Lena, P., 2023)
A strategy project by Iloilo City DRRM Council, the rainwater harvesting facility aims to to mitigate the impact of climate change and to advocate for access to potable water resources to help lessen water-related illnesses and provide livelihoods to the selected barangays. This facility has a gravity-fed ultrafiltration technology that filters rainwater and other non-salty water resources without electricity use into portable drinking water. It can provide 6,000 liters per day and can last up to 10 years. (Iloilo City Government, 2024)

The city government targets to install rainwater harvesting facilities and water purifiers in barangays with high cases of acute gastroenteritis and where access to water is difficult. The barangays included are Lanit, Bito-on, Tabuc Suba, Navais, Hibao-an Sur, Hinactacan, Ingore, and Monica-Blumentritt. (Iloilo City Government, 2024; Lena, P., 2023)
