In a bid to make Iloilo City safer and more resilient, more than 300 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras procured by Iloilo City government will be installed throughout the metropolis. The CCTV cameras will cover crime-prone areas, accident-prone areas, and major streets (Latoza, R., 2022; ‘MORE EYES ON THE GROUND’: Iloilo City gov’t to boost surveillance with 360 security cameras, 2022).
This is part of the system of the state-of-the-art Iloilo City Action and Response (ICARE) command center in ICC Gaisano, Mandurriao.
