Ginorganisa sang Marso 2021, ang CDRRMO Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) unit indi lang ga salbar sa mga Ilonggos sa tion sang mga natural nga desgrasya kag mga kalamidad, pero gina tudluan man nila ang publiko kung paano maghanda kag mag akto antes, samtang, kag pagkatapos sang desgrasya. Ginhimo na nga opisyal nga responder ang USAR sang Marso 2022.
Ang USAR unit, nga may investment sa CDRRMO rescue truck kag bag-o nga rescue equipment sang 2021, ang naga ubra emergency search and rescue kag responde sa desgrasya, kag halin sa ICER ang iya porma.
Para matinir ang qualidad sa pagresponde, pagtudlo, kag paghatag kahusayan, gina hanas kag uswagan sang USAR unit ang ila kahusayan paagi sa paghanas kada semana, simulated exercises, drills, kag kolaborasyon sa lokal kag internasyonal nga mga organisasyon para indi maging ulihi sa mga bag-o nga practices kag inobasyon sa disaster management, search and rescue operation, kag emergency medical services industry.

Initially formed in March 2021, the CDRRMO Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) unit not only rescues Ilonggos in times of natural disasters or calamities, but also educates the general public on how they can be prepared and act accordingly before, during, and after a disaster. Finally, USAR was officially established in March 2022.
The USAR unit, with the investments in CDRRMO rescue truck and modern rescue equipment in 2021, has since then been engaged in emergency search and rescue and disaster response, with its roots originating from ICER.
To maintain quality response, teaching, and skills transfer, the USAR unit actively trains and develops skills through weekly training, simulated exercises, drills, and collaboration with local and international organizations to be up-to-date with the latest practices and innovations in disaster management, search and rescue operation, and emergency medical services industry.
The men and women of the CDRRMO USAR unit believe their purpose is “To save the greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time.”
